The lecture series (which riffs on the format of a certain well-known educational conference) is entirely organized and executed by interns as a lighthearted crash course in project management and presentation. Built around a different central theme each semester, when tasked with developing a flyer and corresponding deck for “Operation: Red Talks”, I chose to lean into the rich aesthetic history of midcentury espionage films. I pulled inspiration from the work of Saul Bass for Hitchcock’s noir and spy thrillers, as well as Maurice Binder’s emblematic James Bond title sequences.
